110cc Four Wheelers 6" Tires Atvs, Red Review

(More customer reviews)Purchased two of these back at Christmas for my two oldest kids.Warrenty is very limited so use them a lot in the first 60 days to make sure they work.Had the CDI go out on one of the units in the first week and another go out a few months later.Purchased 6 extras for $5 each so I don't have the same problem again.Takes about 30 seconds to switch it out so it is an easy fix once you know the symptoms.These obviously are made in China (nearly all these 110s are actually made in the same factory no matter what the brand) not Japan.The motors are relatively simple and easy to work on.I have changed the oil and spark plugs and they work great.You should also plan on tightening up the chain when you get it.The manual is some of the worst English I have ever seen so just look at the pictures if you have questions.Parts are very easy to obtain and very inexpensive as you would expect.I tested these out several times before I let the kids ride them and my kids wear full protective gear (chest plate, helmet, goggles, and gloves.) I also ride them around for the first minute or two when they are warming up to make sure nothing has gone wrong prior to the kids riding them.Only other problem is that the design of the drive shaft loosens the chain when someone 150lbs or above rides it.So if you hit a big bump you may lose the chain.Again this is easy to put on and I keep it very tight now so that when a rider is on it the chain is perfectly tight.My kids are light weight so they never come close to having the chain come off.I on the other hand have had it happen a couple of times.Anyway, as long as you know what you are getting yourself into they are wonderful.It you have no mechanical ability stick to a well build Honda.

(More customer reviews)This product lets me know at a glance that my rear dual tires are at proper inflation. Adjusting pressure is very easy with the common fill valve. My installation required me to remove my wheelcovers, remove one lug nut to mount the common valve support, and attach the hoses to the existing valve stems. Sounded easy. I luckily have a 450 ft lb impact wrench to get the lug nut off. I also had to cut a slot in my wheelcover for the support bracket to stick through. Lastly find someone wih small hands to reach between the duals to attach the inner hoses. The installation was more work then I thought it was going to be but it was absolutly worth it. The crossfire support people were very helpfull during my installation. the crossfires came with many mounting adapters and is a very well built product in my opinion.

Firefly Low Tire Flasher 10-pack Programmable Pressure Review

(More customer reviews)I'm a sucker for anything that lets me avoid the hassle of checking tire pressure.So I've considered an aftermarket tire pressure system (but not for long, once I realized how complex the installation is) and I've bought the cheaper screw-on caps that show green or red through a little window, and been very dissatisfied.Among other things, they tell you (only after you've bought them) not to get them wet.That's hard to do in heavy rain or a car wash.

These Firefly flasher caps are ruggedly built (metal!) and easy to install.My only gripe was that they didn't work.

So I called the 800 number for the merchant who said, "Oh yeah, when we got the first batch in we thought they were all defective, but then we found out you have to screw them on all the way and that's why they included that little wrench."

Why the instructions don't mention that, and why they don't tell you what that little tool is (it's a wrench, ok, but not like one you've seen before) is beyond me.But not to quibble.

They seem like a good product, they test ok (unscrew a few turns and they blink brightly) and maybe they'll actually work over the long haul.If so, I think I like them.

I'll know a lot more in 6 months.

Non-Contact IR Infrared Digital Thermometer -32 to 300C Review

(More customer reviews)This Handheld Infrared Thermometer works OK, but with one limitation - the accuracy is not within its supposed tolerance of (+- 3F) or (2%) reading. My temperature readings on non-metal surfaces were consistantly off (read too high) by (4),(5), or even more degrees (Fahrenheit). On the lower scale towards freezing temperatures, the temperature readings were even worse. All of my test temperature measurements were taken while I was positioned within the best distance-to-spot size ratio and field-of-view.Everything else about the Handheld Infrared Thermometer is good. Perfect weight and the LCD blue backlight display is really nice. The red laser can be turned on or off to further conserve battery life.

After you press the trigger, the device turns on and your temperature readings will show up on the lighted display for as long as you keep your finger on the trigger. After releasing the trigger, (5) seconds later the lighted LCD display will shut off. After 10 seconds if no further trigger action is used, the device will shut off completely. I like the idea that the display stays lit while you are pressing the trigger. This allows you to see multiple temperature readings or variations in low lit or dark areas.

Other thoughts: The 9V battery comes already installed (wrapped in cellophane) in the device. Just remember to open up (slide open) the battery compartment and remove the battey cellophane wrapping and re-insert observing proper polarity. Othrwise you will think that the Handheld Thermometer is not functioning when you first get the device and press the trigger.

You get what you pay for. For just checking average (ball park) temperatures this would be OK. I wouldn't use it for anything else requiring accuracy. Also remember, when using Non-Contact Infrared Thermometers to measure temperatures on metal surfaces or glass, your readings will turn out to be the most inaccurate. Materials that are highly reflective such as metal or glass will yield innaccurate results. If you do measure temperatures on metal or glass and you require more accuracy, put masking tape on an area, then take your measurements off of the taped area - if temperatures permit (not too high as to burn the tape). Measurements on everything else non-metal or glass should be within an acceptable range. Your device's accuracy may vary (better or worse).

(More customer reviews)Bought Viair 300 this Dec/09 and 2 weeks later a superflow MF 1089 for my son. I decided to compare the inflation pressure attained by each compressor at a run time of 90 seconds for each. Using my spare tire 245-45-18 deflated down to zero PSI.
My results:Viair 300 attained 32.5 PSI at 90 seconds.
MF-1089 attaine 35.5 PSI at 90 seconds.
Durability and reliability are different issues and only time and usage will tell. To me, they both look well made. Viair is a single compressor and MF-1089 is double.
Viair weighs about 8 Lbs & MF about 18 Lbs. Viair has standard quick connectors while MF.s is not. It.s their own but it's well made. MF 1089 has more versatilities with their tire chuck connectors and is priced less than Viair.
My personal preference: MF 1089.

I like the feature giving me the option to deactivate the motion sensor if it is really windy.The only thing that I haven't been able to do is change the alarm siren to one sound rather than it cycling thru all five sounds, probably just me not doing it correctly. All in all I think the service making the purchase and the alarm performance is excellent

It's an excellent balance between good dry grip, quiet ride, good wet weather performance and long life. Just as the Nighthawk is a great if boring "jack of all trades" motorcycle, this tire is an excellent match for that bike.

If you're the type to add performance enhancements everywhere you look, look elsewhere. But if you want good utility and value for the money, this is a great choice.

Camco 44622 RV Wheel Stop Review

(More customer reviews)The Camco RV Wheel Stop was a good solution for us.We were interested in stabilizing the camper while parked.This approach of locking the tandem wheels together has the added benefit of allowing us to elevate one side of the camper on blocks (to level it out) and still be able to chalk it.Here are some "got-cha's" though;

Be sure to purchase the appropriate size to accomodate the distance between your tires.

There is no 'lockable' versions of the wheel stop that I could find, even though there are retailers that advertize it as having that feature.

Consider purchasing one for each side to increase the stabilization, if you are using it on a camper.

Retighten it a couple of days after you've set up camp.

All-in-all a good example of ingenuity.
