(More customer reviews)i bought the chains when going to Snow Summit, thought I would retire my old chains since i had them forever these chains make less noise then the old ones i had but upon arrival at Snow Summit These things were shreaded two of the links broke on one side of the wheel and i was only going 25 mph up highway 38 NEVER BUY THESE!!

(More customer reviews)My car has 255/35r19 rear tires so this seemed like the right (albeit EXPENSIVE) choice.Upon using for the first time last weekend a pin holding a chain link to a plate popped out thus rendering the chain useless. As a result we were stuck in the mountain for THREE HOURS waiting for a flatbed tow.As soon as I put the chains on (which BTW have terrible terse instructions), I wasn't beaming with confidence as the chains didn't seat at the center of the wide tires.The following might be a better alternative: Security Chain Super Z6, SZ143.

(More customer reviews)I almost didn't buy these chains because of the price, but I decided to drop the cash and give them a try.What a brilliant decision!

They install so easily and with the auto-tensioner, there's no more pulling some black circular rubber band thing and trying to hook it in 5 places along the chain.You hook the chains around the tire, slip the auto-tensioner piece through the hole until there is no slack and drive.

Taking off the chains is just as easy.

I feel sorry for the saps on the side of the road struggling with their chains, then end up paying some chain installer to help them out.
