(More customer reviews)We have snow tires for our cars, both my husband's honda civic and my honda odyssey.We have racks on our garage wall to store the tires, but I didn't want to accidentally be brushing up against dirty tires on my way in and out of my car, so I bought these to cover the tires while they were stored.

I am pleased with the quality.The covers are not contiguous, they have a strip of hook and loop velcro on the outside and you wrap it around tire and fasten it so it fits the tire snug around the exterior.In the inside, there is elastic and another set of velcro to allow you adjust the size of the inner circle.Everything is very secure, its easy to carry them in the containers.

The only drawback and the reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 is that they are a tad small for my odyssey's wider tires.They fit, but they cannot completely cover the tire on both sides. You can see how in the picture you can't see the tire itself, only the rims?With the odyssey's tires, if I center the black strip around the tread of the tire, you would be able to see about 1-2" of the tire on either side around in the inner circle.However, since my purpose was basically to cover them on the wall (but still be able to hang them, hence the cover had to have a hole in the middle) all I do is center the cover more toward one side, so on the side that hangs outward, you can't see (or accidentally brush up against) the tire, and on the other side more of the tire is visible (but up against the wall).

I initially thought that they would be purchased ina set. they worked really well holding the car on the trailer, and we were not at all worried about them breaking or falling off the tires of the trailered vehicle.

WIRELESS TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR Review

I've had this Motorcycle Tire Pressure Monitoring System for about 6 months now... So I feel I can now review them.

Fitment:
Well, it couldn't be easier to fit these. You simply remove your valve stem caps, and substitute these. They take little "pill" or "button" batteries that slip easily into place. Then you simply install the AAA battery in the receiver unit, turn it on, and follow the easy instructions to program your high and low pressure warnings and temperatures.

Functionality:
The units react very quickly, and you can test this by just twisting the caps open a little to let the pressure between the cap and the valve get out... The cap will immediately send the low pressure signal to the "key fob" display, which will beep its alert and vibrate. Provided that the batteries in all the units are good.

Pros:
Easy to fit, pretty easy to program, external to tire (so no need to dismount you wheel, then the tire, then fit those internal units, then mount it all back up again; knowing that you will have to do it all over again when the sending unit batteries go flat!). The units are pretty accurate. In my experience within 0.5-1.0 psi of the actual pressure (checked against several very accurate gauges). This system is quite a bit less expensive than the other "internal" units, especially when you consider the labor to fit them if you are not doing the install yourself. And it is way cool to be able to check your pressures at the touch of a button. Also, if you attach the unit to the bars or dash (or close to body so you can feel the vibration while you are riding), it could save you some real problems by alerting you to a low pressure situation BEFORE you actually have a totally flat tire. Which could mean that you pull off the freeway earlier, into a Truck Stop, where there are facilities to repair your tire. Which is way better than sitting at the side of the highway, trucks and cars whizzing by, trying to lift the front end of you bike in the air to change the front tire!!!

Cons:
AND PAY ATTENTION HERE!!! These units are no substitute for checking your tire pressures with an accurate gauge!!! They can sometimes show the last pressure registered, and if you don't pay attention to the TINY "link" icon, you might think all is OK, when it isn't!!! Also, you need to pay VERY close attention to the "power" icon. As if you get low power in the monitor, or the sending units, the icon will illuminate, BUT again, it still showed the previous reading. The monitor is a "Key Fob" style, with no facility to mount it on the dash or bars. This means that in all likelyhood, the unit will sit in a jacket pocket (like mine did), where you can't effectively feel the vibration (or mistake it for your phone) while riding with all the wind buffeting and noise. A big imporvement to the unit would be to supply it with some form of mount... Or even Velcro... And a way to easily remove the chain that attaches to your keys...

BUT BIGGEST ISSUE HERE IS NOT ERRANT READINGS... IT IS SAFETY!!!
It is my opinion (after actually experiencing this first hand), that these units should NEVER be installed on bikes which have rubber valve stems! They should ONLY BE INSTALLED ON MOTORCYCLES THAT HAVE METAL VALVE STEMS, PERIOD! Over time, cruising on the freeway at higher speeds, cross country where one might run higher than the posted limit, the constant pressure of the weight of the valve caps under centrifugal force of the wheel rotating at high speed, WILL BEND THE RUBBER VALVE STEM OVER TO THE RIM!!! Do this time after time (speeding up and slowing down again as you do on the freeway) and eventually it CAUSES THE VALVE STEM TO TEAR, causing it to lose air. If you are lucky like I was, you are ONLY left at the side of the road with a flat FRONT tire, a broken valve stem, in the middle of nowhere on a Sunday!!!!!!!! That's if you are LUCKY! If you are not... The consequences of a high speed rapid deflation of the front tire (as mine was) could be catastrophic!!!

Conclusion:
A great little system IF...

1. You make sure your batteries are always in a good condition, and you program it correctly.
2. You really PAY ATTENTION to the TINY icons in the corners of the screen of the TPMS monitor.
3. YOU NEVER FIT THESE TO RUBBER VALVE STEMS (I'm pretty sure they are fine on metal ones, especially the steel kind with "O-Rings").
4. You keep the monitor where it can be seen, or felt easily while riding the bike... Otherwise you lose the warning aspect of the unit.

Things to think about...
It's a pretty expensive way to check your tire pressures... Especially when an inexpensive (less than $5) gauge will do the same thing... And that when you check you tire pressures manually, you are also way closer to your tires, which allows you to assess their condition, and maybe note uneven wear, or a cut, or a nail... Whatever. Bottom line is you may see something you would have otherwise seen by checking manually (just as you do when cleaning you bike frequently).

They install so easily and with the auto-tensioner, there's no more pulling some black circular rubber band thing and trying to hook it in 5 places along the chain.You hook the chains around the tire, slip the auto-tensioner piece through the hole until there is no slack and drive.

Taking off the chains is just as easy.

I feel sorry for the saps on the side of the road struggling with their chains, then end up paying some chain installer to help them out.

(More customer reviews)I have used these chains for 2 seasons and have driven hundreds of miles on them. I love them and will never use another chain. They are quick and easy to attach. I am frequently in and out of the "chain-up area" before other drivers have even straightened out their chains. The low profile, 9mm chain links make for comfortable driving even at higher speeds.

I use them on a 2008 Subaru Impreza Outback. The owner's manual for this car says to never use chains or cables because they may interfere with the anti-lock brakes and steering mechanisms. This is apparently typical for smaller sports cars. But the state police won't always let me up the pass without chains installed, despite AWD and all-weather tires. I took the chains and the car to the Subaru dealership, had them put the car on a lift and install the chains. The dealership said they were fine and would not interfere with sensitive parts. I have been using these chains without issue, and after 2 seasons they show minimal wear. I fully expect to use them for 2 more seasons. I have not experienced the cable problem another reviewer had.

I use it as an emergency jack for my small travel trailer; I hope I never have to use it because it's a pain.

Meguiar's Complete Car Care Kit Review

(More customer reviews)While I've never seen a car care kit that included everything to take care of your car, this one comes close.It will really get you started on the right track with quality, beneficial products.I love my cars and am passionate about taking care of them.I use some of these products daily, but I've tried just about everything in this kit.Meguiar's brings top quality products at affordable prices.I've used products from other companies that cost as much as this kit for one item, but yet Meguiar's is still always one of the very best.Here is how I strongly suggest you use these products:

1) The Gold Class Wash. This is the best car wash I have ever used.Wash your car with this wash and the microfiber mit that is included.

2) Clay - unless your car is brand new, you probably need to use the clay.Use the clay along with the Quick Exterior Detailer, to make your paint smooth to the touch.

3) Scratch X is actually a paint cleaner. You want to apply Scratch X to the entire car, to clean contaminants below the surface of the paint.This step is very important.Apply and remove, you can use the applicator that is included obviously.The towel is also great to remove it with, but I like to use a towel to remove, and a second towel to buff it to a perfect shine.

4) The final step - Gold Class Liquid Car Wax.This is one of the best car waxes/sealants I have used.There are other good, some even better perhaps, but this one is nothing to laugh at.It is really good and delivers beautiful depth, shine, and protection!

Your car should look a lot better after all those steps.If you ever want to take it up another step, after Scratch X and before the wax, apply a pure polish (not included in kit) such as Deep Crystal Polish (Step 2 in that line) or #7 Show Car Polish.

You can continue to use the quick exterior detailer you used with the clay. Use the exterior detailer by itself with a couple towels, to take dust or other contaminants off the paint between washes.Use a couple towels along with it.The exterior quick detailers are great.I go through 1-2 bottles each week.

Quick interior detailer you can spray onto a nice towel and apply to your dashboard and other surfaced inside the cabin.It works great.I use it all the time.However, on the inside you don't need so much, so this lasts a long time.

The Endurance Tire Shine is also great.Just note your towel will really get dirty when applying this.I even have to throw it away quite often.

The plastic polish is great, if your headlamp lenses begin to lose their clarity.Buff until clearer.

Overall, a great kit. Just be sure to use the products as intended and as a system where applicable.

(More customer reviews)These are by far, hands down the BEST tire covers for the money and actually they could sell for far more.I live in a VERY WINDY, harsh winter part of the county, the strap/weave buckle is very effective, it is made to fasten on the inside of the tire and so it is a bit of a drag to put on but once on, mine NEVER budged.I recently took them off, they have been on the tires for little more than a year, still soft and pliable as well as the flannel inside, I tossed all 4 in the washer, hung them out on the fence and they are like brand new!!I am ordering another set of 4 to have for back up, you won't find this quality just sitting around on Walmart shelves, these babies are built tough.
