(More customer reviews)I've been using Wheel Wax on various sets of wheels on my cars for about three years now on both painted and clearcoated polished aluminum. Before that, I used to use conventional car polish. This product is superior for several reasons. First it definitely lasts longer; I generally only apply it once a year though I suppose twice a year or more might be needed for a car driven more miles. Even toward the end of the year, I find that water still beads on the wheel pretty well, unlike it would on an untreated wheel. Supposedly this product is more heat resistant than a conventional car wax, thus lasting longer on the hot surface of a wheel.
I agree with other comments that this product does not actually repel brake dust in the sense that you'll still see a dusting of it accumulating on the wheel as you drive. However it makes it much easier to wash the brake residue off the wheel assuming you do this somewhat regularly. I wouldn't expect any product to eliminate the need for washing your wheels.
As an added bonus Wheel Wax has a rich texture and applies smoothly, then is easy to remove with minimal buffing. Also it has a nice scent.

Product Description:
Wheel Wax is the only wax for wheels. It is easy to apply, dries to a haze and buffs to a high shine. Wheel Wax changes the surface polarity of your wheels to repel brake dust particles. Wheel Wax leaves an unbelievably smooth shine on your wheels that brake dust and moisture can't penetrate. This protective coating also makes cleaning your wheels a snap next time you wash your wheels. Don't just clean your wheels, clean and protect them in one step with Wheel Wax!
